when i Rxd5 i get the little the face telling me i'm wrong or off track, when, if the next move i make is Qxg7, i still checkmate in 2 moves. why does this happen?

I believe it is the black response 1. - Qxd5 that is wrong...
After the correct 1. - Qd1+ ! there is no mate next move.

So, Caissa was correctly stating "Wrong", but the stupid Mr.Black played an inferior countermove Evil or Very Mad

That would work. Edited to answer 1QxRd5 with QxQ.
